Oh, I can relate a lot — voice-to-text and text-to-voice are my main companions when dealing with information overload, especially with a neurodivergent brain.
It was actually interesting to read about your experience! Having lot's of ADHD friends and acquaintances I believe your article will be worth to share.
I do believe they need to work complementary. E.g. there are days when I'm just drained. And nothing can help. What I've noticed that if I have at least 20-30 min regular physical activity per day – the brain is more clear and I feel more productive.
Plus I've found that over time, my body adapts to meds and they become less effective - having reliable non-medication strategies like exercise feels essential for long-term management.
Also in to-do list regular meditation, but oh... still way harder to implement as it's boring
That’s a really good question, Maria — and something I’ve thought about too.
In the past, autism was blamed on "cold mothers," PTSD was seen as weakness, and in the early 1900s, women with depression or trauma were called “hysterical.”
It took time — and sometimes trends or labels — before people really understood what was going on.
Maybe what looks like an aesthetic now is just the first, messy step toward real awareness.
This is so great. I hadn't even heard of a lot of these things, like focus mate, and I hadn't considered fidget toys. I'm working by myself for the first time ever and the focus is so, so much harder than I thought it'd be!
Thank you, Imi! Working solo definitely amplifies those focus challenges. FocusMate has been a game-changer for me, and fidget toys make a surprising difference! If you try any of these strategies, I'd love to hear which ones work for you. Everyone's journey is different, and sharing helps us all. 💙
I love ❤️ it! This article rocks. You have such an eloquent way with words. I look forward to reading 📚 more.
Thank you so much for your support!
Thank you for sharing !! I love the audio feature sometimes my ADHD doesn’t let me sit and read something all the way through 😂

Brilliant. This is the inside of my brain. 20 trivial tasks to avoid the one I need to do
Thank you!

Is exercise really better than meds (for you)?
I get at least 20 mins of walking a day and I'm still barely productive! Haven't tried any meds yet though.

That makes sense. I'd love to try meds, just to see if they help.
I have an exercise bike at home and think about doing 20 mins on it in the morning before my day starts but haven't been able to yet!
great article

Is this awareness, or just a new aesthetic of dysfunction?

💬 I’d love to hear how you see it.
