I was in a very similar situation a few years ago. Too stressed to check my bank account, knowing it was probably even worse than I thought (and it usually was)
But I am not sure it is linked to ADHD though (or maybe I am not diagnosed), the avoidance is a way too avoid more stress and pain. Like someone who notices the signs that he is sick, but doesn’t go to the doctor for fear of the diagnosis
